What is a Guardian home?

A guardian home is a forever home, for a breeder hand picked dog or puppy we want to add, to our Buffa Doodles program. Our guardians go through an extensive screening process, (application, interview) and are responsible for all care of dog/puppy-including food, grooming, training, toys/enrichment and all non reproductive related veterinarian visits/bills. When it’s time for the dog to have puppies, they come to our house to be cared for by our family & pack, They stay with us for 5-6 weeks- from time puppies are born, & then returned to you!Once the dog "retires", all ownership and paperwork is transferred to the dogs guardian/family forever! And we pay for spay! We already have pets in our home & prefer to form new relationships, by adding future moms & dads to our program, by giving you a free Puppy to love & care for! Dogs thrive from the love & care they receive- from its family/people! This positive attention in their home, creates a healthy development of the dog, and more love and joy they offer in return! We look forward to finding these special homes within our community in Western NY! Please read requirements below and apply if you’re willing to open your home up to a Buffa Doodle puppy!

REQUIREMENTS FOR GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM

1. Must live within 40 minutes from zip code 14001.

2. Have excellent communication & team mindset

3.Must be willing and able to train & socialize the puppy/dog. Must sign up for at least one puppy/obedience class during the first 7 months. Learn/keep the dog well mannered.

4.Prepared to pay for professional grooming every 6-10 weeks. Doodle grooming can be costly in different areas.

5.Must be able to pay for nutritional dog food (Supplements if/when needed) and all vet visits not pertaining to breeding.

6.Have no other intact dogs in the home.

7.Must send monthly update including clear, cute pictures.
